Dr. Karla Cedano is a multidisciplinary academic and leader in the field of energy, social sciences, innovation, and sustainability from a gender equality perspective. She holds a doctorate in Engineering and Applied Sciences and has also studied Genomic Medicine and Computer Sciences. Alongside her academic work, Cedano is an activist promoting gender equality with experience in stakeholder and community engagement. She has co-edited four books, is co-author of five additional books and is a TV commentator on public communication of science, technology, innovation and humanities. Cedano is a member of the Social Sciences and Humanities Academy of Morelos, the Editorial Board of Revista Eficiencia Energética, the Mexican Society for Science and Technical Communication, the Women’s Network on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. Cendano also participates in the International Women’s Forum.
